June Lorraine Swanson, age 84, of Turtletown, TN passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018. Mrs. Swanson was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a daughter of the late Manker and Lora Mae Maney Allen. She was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church and was preceeded in death by her husband, Rev. J.C. Swanson. She was a loving wife and mother. She is survived by children, Brian (Kim) Swanson of Ooltewah, TN, Terri (Rickey) Brown of Turtletown, TN and Connie Davis of McCaysville, GA; sister, Edna Houck of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Richele Brown, Whitney Burston, Rodney Davis, Matthew Davis, Chris Davis, Marc Davis and Adam Davis. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Farris Reid officiating. Music was by the Bayside Vocal Band. Pallbearers included Rickey Brown, Randy Wiggins, Jason Hamby, Jamie Beavers, Larry Foster and Steve Stiles. A private interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
