June Ellen Chastain Patterson, age 71, of Copperhill passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at her home. June was born on October 27, 1952 in Copperhill to the late Thomas Grady Chastain and Wilma Rose Chastain. She was a member of Altoona Baptist Church in Coker Creek. June loved gardening, quilting, crossword puzzles, and researching genealogies and ancestry. She enjoyed rock and roll music and was as a avid fan of Led Zeppelin. June was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Eddie Chastain and Tommy Chastain.

June is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim Patterson of the home; son, James Grady Patterson of Copperhill; daughter, Kari Grace Patterson of Chattanooga; and special sister and cousin, Beverly Waters of Copperhill.

Graveside services were conducted on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Chastain Cemetery with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Pallbearers were Jim Callihan, Rodney Patterson, Anthony Martin, Joel Mann, Jeff Waters, and Britton Kennedy.
