Juliana Brie Carroll Mayhew, age 37, of Bryson City, NC, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in Sylva, NC. She was born in Blue Ridge on July 11, 1985. She attended The Ridge Community Church. She worked as Manager of Carroll's Barbecue and previously at Dairy Queen. Juliana was a strong advocate for mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and global missions. Her greatest joys were making sure her husband, Sean, felt loved and being favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was known for her strong faith, her unwavering hope in Christ and her extravagant thoughtfulness. She took every opportunity she could to show love to her family and friends.

Juliana is survived by her husband, Patrick Sean Mayhew; parents, Tom and Sylvia Carroll; siblings and their spouses, Matthew and Carrie Carroll, Valerie and Michael Stephens, Andrew and Brittany Carroll, Brittany and Jonathan Pickard, Drew Carroll, Alex Carroll, Cassidy Carroll, Elijah Carroll, Destiny Carroll, and Sarah Carroll; brothers-in-law, Chris Mayhew and J.T. Johnson; sister-in-law, Megan Rose; nieces and nephews, Blake (Samantha) Carroll, Blakelyn Carroll, Breanna Carroll, Ezekiel Stephens, Isaiah Stephens, David Stephens, Timothy Stephens, Benjamin Stephens, Sophia Carroll, Eliza Carroll, Liam Carroll, Lincoln Carroll, Rosie Carroll, Malachi Pickard, Hosanna Pickard, Moriah Pickard, Jachim Pickard, Liberty Pickard, Tobin Pickard, Ryleigh Hicks, Johnathan Carroll, Devyn Yearicks, Jackson Mayhew, Timothy Rose, Wesley Rose, Ella Johnson, and Warren Johnson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 4:00 PM from The Ridge Community Church with Dr. Chan Mitchell, Rev. Michael Stephens, Jonathan Pickard, and Dr. Jeff Straub officiating. Music was by Christian and Hannah McGinn and Nathan and Anna Ruth Smith. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park with Matthew Carroll, Andrew Carroll, Elijah Carroll, Blake Carroll, Isaiah Stephens, and David Stephens serving as pallbearers.
