Mrs. Margaret "Juanita" Brown Todd, age 83, passed away at her home in McCaysville on May 11, 2008. Mrs. Todd was born in Fannin County, GA; she was a daughter of the late Thomas Jackson "T.J." and Bessie Emily Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband Hertis E. Todd; grandson, Eric Falls; and son-in-law, Johnny Satterfield. Mrs. Todd was a loving daughter, wife and mother. She enjoyed her family and attending Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of which she was a long time member. She also enjoyed gospel music, fishing, reading, and going out with her family. Mrs. Todd cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a wonderful cook. Mrs. Todd will always be remembered as a smiling, soft-spoken woman who will remain forever very, very special to her family and friends. The family of Mrs. Todd would like to give special recognition to the United Hospice of Blue Ridge and Angie Newton for all the special care, love and attention given to their mother. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Sid Arp of McCaysville, GA, Lucretia and David Falls of Mineral Bluff, GA and Deborah Satterfield of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Chad and Maria Davis, Jeremy and Jason Davis, Anthony and Tammy Falls, Jennifer and James Dickey, April and Ted Gatlin, and Kimberly Satterfield; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Erica, and Jamison Dickey, Tyler and Emilee Corn, Kennedy and Kaden Davis and Racquel Davis; special friend and caregiver, Angie Newton. Funeral Services were conducted Wednesday May 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Johnson and Rev. Paul Adams officiating. Music was by the Beach Family. Interment followed in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Chad Davis, Jeremy Davis, Jason Davis, Anthony Falls, James Dickey, and Ted Gatlin.
