Juanita Essie Bearden, age 90, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at her home. She was born in Union County, GA on December 17, 1923 to the late Lewis Calvin Parris and Florida Godfrey Parris. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Bearden, Jr. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Emmett and Mary Housley of Jasper, GA, James and Minnie Bearden of Blue Ridge, GA and Joey and Sharon Bearden of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Frank Pless of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Crissy (Lynn) Merrell, Jason Housley, and Jacob Pless; and great grandchildren, Derrick Pless, Nathan (Beth) Pless, Marihaidyn Housley, and Landon Housley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. James Howard Galloway officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Housley, Jacob Pless, Derrick Pless, Nathan Pless, Lynn Merrell, Dennis Chapman, and Jerry Parris. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park.
