Mrs. Joyce Morrow Worthy, age 72, of Farner, TN passed away Friday, April 22, 2016. Joyce was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late George Allen and Leona Allen Morrow. She was a member of the Bear Paw Baptist Church. She was retired as a seamstress and enjoyed sewing and crafts as a hobby. She was preceded in death by son, Earl Mashburn, Jr, grandchildren, Bryson & Braylin Worthy, great-grandchildren, David & Kaylee Hogsed, sisters, Donna Jean Kyle and Nancy Morrow.She is survived by her husband of twenty seven years, Hoyt Worthy of the home; children, Janice Ware of Turtletown, TN, Phyllis (Irvin) Melton of Turtletown, TN, Rose Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA, Kim Crisp of Bellerham, WA, Anthony Worthy of Pleasant Hill, TN, Carol (Bill) Thomasson of Camp Creek, NC, Tim and Elisha Worthy of Turtletown, TN, Greg Worthy of Farner, TN; Sisters, Elizabeth (Frank) Boatwright of Farner, TN, Jeanette Morrow of Forest Park, GA, Patsy (Winford) Taylor of Turtletown, TN, Brenda (Mitchell) Kimsey of Turtletown, TN; twenty one grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and special great grandchild, Bailey Hogsed.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday evening, April 23rd at 8:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Josh Ledford and Rev. Richard Morrow officiating. Music will be by Renee Payne, Lexi Jory and Carol Thomasson. Pallbearers include Tim Worthy, Anthony Worthy, Dales Stiles, Randall Kimbrell, Bill Thomasson and Dawson Worthy. Honorary pallbearers include, Zachary Waters, Irvin Melton and Eddie Cross. Graveside services will follow in the New Zion Baptist Church cemetery Sunday, April 24th at 1:00 PM.
