Mrs. Joyce Ellen Townshend, age 72, of Turtletown, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015. She was born May 3, 1943 to the late William Alexander Henry Sr. and Sally Belle Arnold. She worked as a self employed truck driver. She had Associate's Degrees in Business, Paralegal, and Pharmaceutical Technology. She is survived by her husband, Gavin Scott Townshend of Turtletown, TN; son, Michael Kenneth Townshend of Kissimmee, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tony Mathews of Turtletown, TN; grandchildren, Tony Mathews II, Brian Mathews, Manda Mathews, Jessica Ferby, Brittany Peeples, Scotty Townshend, Alex Townshend, Alyssa Schott, and Sally Belle Townshend; great-grandchildren, Maddie Mathews, Briana Mathews, Brock Whitaker, Kennedy Ferby, and Mason Ferby.Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Marion Schneider speaking. Prayer will be by Brother Jeremy Hall. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour.
