Joseph Kyle Rogers, age 27, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009 at his home. He was born in Bowling Green, KY on September 16, 1981. Kyle was a student. He was an avid baseball, football, and basketball fan, especially fond of the University of Georgia and the Los Angeles Lakers. He loved writing poetry and loved music, especially by Led Zeppelin. Kyle was a gamer, and attended the Crossland Community Church in Bowling Green, KY. He loved his family, his friends and especially his niece Marcy Rogers and nephew, Joseph Mercer Rogers. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph Keith Rogers, Jr. and Bobbie Elizabeth Rogers.He is survived by his father and stepmother, Rick and Shelia Rogers of Bowling Green, KY; mother and stepfather, Cathy Long Scruggs and Lyle Scruggs of Blue Ridge; brothers, Scott Rogers and wife Heather of Hardinsburg, KY, Shane Rogers of Pensacola, FL, and Casey Rogers of Atlanta, GA; maternal grandparents, Herman and Lois Nell Long of Blue Ridge; niece, Marcy Rogers; and nephew, Joseph Mercer Rogers.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Highland Baptist Tabernacle, 631 Industrial Drive, Blue Ridge, GA.
