Mr. Joseph Robert "Bob" Cantrell, age 83 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born Friday, September 11, 1931 to the late Benjamin Jefferson and Mary Ollie Newberry Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell worked for Delta Airlines thirty plus years as a lead aircraft mechanic. He attended Fairview Baptist Church. Mr. Cantrell served in the United States Air force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Elizabeth Collins Cantrell.Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Mark Laskowski of Snohomish, WA; sister, Lurline Argo of Jasper, GA; granddaughters, Elizabeth, Emily and Sarah Laskowski of Snohmish, WA.Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday November 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Scott Graves officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Full Military Honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, November 25, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church.
