Mr. Johnny Elmer Sparks, age 64, of Ducktown passed away Sunday, September 16, 2007 in the LifeCare Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, TN. Born in Polk County, TN, he was the son of the late John Jacob Sparks and Ethel Mae Thomas Sparks. He was employed by Burger Pontiac where he did paint and body work. He was a member of Coletown Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife Linda Carolyn Nix Sparks. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Paul Allen of Copperhill; and a granddaughter Miss Natalie Allen. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. G.W. Mathis officiating. Music was by Edward Vest. Pallbearers were James Bearden, Anthony Reynolds, Virgil Allen, Bob Jones, J.L. Galloway, and Charles Ray Woodward.
