John William "Bill" Carlisle, age 70, of Acworth, GA passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 in the Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. Mr. Carlisle was born on December 22, 1946 in Thomaston, GA to the late Willie Joe Carlisle and Lawanna Felts Carlisle. He served as a Law Enforcement Officer and was a member of the Police Benevolent Association. He was a United States Coast Guard Veteran and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Johnny Carlisle.Mr. Carlisle is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Carlisle of Acworth, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Lora Carlisle of Winterville, GA, Michael and Erica Carlisle of Augusta, GA, and Steven and Kristin Carlisle of Acworth, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Christy and Clint McCants of Tarpon Springs, FL and Roxanne Carlisle of Stone Mountain, GA; 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.Funeral services were held Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev.
