John Lewis Todd, age 76 of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, TN. He was born in Dallas County, TX on August 30, 1934 to the late Dempsey and Lola Lather Todd. Mr. Todd was self employed as a welder and mechanic. He was in the United States Navy serving during the Korean War. He is survived by children, Jeffie and Gene Barnes of Mineral Bluff, GA, John Todd Jr. and Patti of George West, TX, Anthony and Shellie Todd of McCaysville, GA, Chris Todd of Rockport, TX, Kassandra Young of Fort Worth, TX, Chassity and Nick Rutkowski of Rio Vista, TX and Charity and Joey Sheppard of Cleburne, TX; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters also survive. Funeral services were at Akins Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 with Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. Interment followed in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with full military honors. Pallbearers were Jim Nichols, Tom Bryant, Greg Nazerian, Jack Gibson, Dennis Nicholson and Ulas Thomas.
