John Joseph Rowe, Jr., age 67, of Buchanan, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022. He was born on June 24, 1954 to the late John Joseph Rowe, Sr. and Verda Alice Debus Rowe. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion. In John's early days, he did carpentry work and later retired from Broward County, FL as an Electrician. John enjoyed riding his Harley, boating, and camping. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, John Joseph Rowe III. John is survived by his wife of 32 years, Leslie Rowe; daughter, Chavonne "Chevy" Ballew and Christopher Merrell; granddaughters, Lillyanna Ballew, Rose Ballew and Heather Rowe; great grandson, Johnny Atlas Rowe; brother, Fred Waller; sister, Sandra Cole; and best friend, Billy Harrison. Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 6:00 pm from the Morganton Baptist Church Cemetery with the North Georgia Honor Guard providing military honors. Pallbearers will be Christopher Merrell, Kaleb Ledford, Rose Ballew, Kevin Ware, Robo Vivian, Rob Gale, Greg Dean, and Johnny Rider. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
