John Lindsay Sr., a proud veteran who served his country with honor in three wars, passed away peacefully at the age of 100 in Blue Ridge, GA.

Born on April 24, 1925 in Cochranton, Pennsylvania, John answered the call of duty when he was drafted into the U.S. Navy during WWII. He served aboard the destroyer USS Wadleigh, demonstrating bravery and dedication to his fellow servicemen. Following his time in the Navy, John continued his military career by enlisting in the U.S. Army, where he went on to serve in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. His unwavering commitment to his country spanned decades, leaving a legacy of courage, resilience, and patriotism.

Beyond his military service, John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, a loyal friend and respected member of his community. His experiences shaped him into a man of strength, integrity, and wisdom, qualities he embarked to those around him.

John in survived by his son John Jr. (Diane) of Conyers, GA, his daughters Rhonda Smiechewicz (Jim) of Ormond Beach, FL and Piper Atwell (Todd) of Mineral Bluff, GA. his grandchildren Jessica Lindsay, Conner and Garrett Atwell and Great Grandchildren Jackson and Zane. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Lewis Lindsay and Grandson John III.

A private service will be at a later date where he will be honored for his lifetime of service and sacrifice.

John Lindsay Sr.'s dedication to his country and loved ones will never be forgotten. His bravery and service will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
