John "Big John" Evans, age 67, of Murphy, NC lost his long battle with cancer on March 19, 2011. John and his wife Lynda ran the Sports Hangar Bar and Grill in Copperhill, TN. John was a motorcycle enthusiast all his life. He was born May 4, 1943 in San Raphael, California and was a member if the original "Mofomen of Manteca,California" motorcycle club in the 1960's. He was also a past President of the "Devil's Desciples Motorcycle Club" in the 1960's and 1970's in California. John leaves his wife of twenty nine years, Lynda; his son Jon and wife Judy of Crowslanding, California; his son, Darrin of Modesto, California; his daughter, Fawn Pearl of San Clemente, California. Two step-sons, Rodney Rose and Danny Rose, both of Modesto, CA; He leaves two granddaughters, Heaven and Kacie of Bethpage, TN and a special friend, Molly Pearl of Bethpage, TN; also special friends, John and Sandy Broccoli of North Carolina; Harold Lee of Copperhill, TN and Terrel Postelle of North Carolina. John didn't want a funeral, he would like to have all his friends to come to a memorial and celebration of his life.
