John Timothy Chance, 63, originally from Cochran, GA passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2025 in Mineral Bluff, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents John C. Chance and Shirley Ann (Sapp) Chance. He is survived by his partner James Geer and a sister Robin Chance Hall. John was a lifelong lover of classical music and animals. He was an exceptional student and completed studies in Microbiology at Georgia Southern University and his PHD at Georgia Tech. His work life included the University of Georgia Vet School and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
