John "Johnny" Henry Burk, age 87, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025 at his home. He was born in Fannin County on May 28, 1938, to the late Doyle Burk and Reba Iona Joyce Burk. Johnny was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church for more than twenty years. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years, Adel Norton Burk; daughter, Brenda Renee Burk; siblings, Glen Burk, Catherine Anderson, Amos Burk, Eunice Ensley, Tommy Burk, and T.W. Burk; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ralph Hammontree, Charles Seabolt, and Cindy Burk.

Johnny is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Randy Watkins; grandchildren and their spouses, Dawn and Eric Cochran and John and Christy Acuff; great-grandchildren and their spouses, Jordon and Stachia Cochran, Colton and Bailey Cochran, Sydnie Cochran, Kloee and Josh Patterson, and Dawson Acuff; siblings and their spouses, Ann Hammontree, Lucas "Tubby" and Darlene Burk; Alice Seabolt, Frank Burk, Joe and Lou Burk, and Willie and Wanda Burk; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at 4:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Randy Hooper and Rev. Claude Mathis officiating. Music was provided by Braylee Harper. Interment followed in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jordon Cochran, Colton Cochran, Dawson Acuff, Billy Brooks, Josh Patterson, and Asa Murphy. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 4:00 PM.
