Mr. Joe Jack Collins, age 72 of Ellijay, passed away on Friday, November 24th, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Collins was born on September 5th, 1951 in Ducktown, Tennessee to the late Homer Claude Collins and the late Jane Gertrude Teague Collins. He was a member of the Blue Ridge First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Collins is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Audriana Collins, and half brother, Wayne Teague.

Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Lynn Wilson Collins of 50 years; daughter, Stacie (Sesar) Hernandez of Ellijay and Heather Collins of Blue Ridge; brother, Robert Collins of Cherry Log; sister and brother-in-law, Myra (Tim) Burns of Gainesville; 2 grandchildren, Reyna Hernandez and Tylea Hernandez; 2 great-grandchildren, JoLynn Hernandez and Jovi Hernandez, and special friend, Hoyt Kendall and Mike Anderson also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Stover officiating. He will be inurned in the Yukon Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour of 12:00 p.m.

The family respectfully asks that no food or flowers be brought to the funeral home. However, in lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital in memory of Mr. Joe Jack Collins.
