Jody Lee Millsaps, age 50, of Epworth, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Jody was born August 31, 1975 to Donnie Lee Millsaps and Brenda Sue Curtis Millsaps of Canton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Cleo Pelfry (Gene); and maternal grandparents, Wayne Curtis and Doris Curtis.

He was a loving husband of 29 years to Rebecca Lee Millsaps, and were residents of Epworth, Georgia. He was a devoted father to Brian Austin Lee Millsaps (Carolyn) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Dylan Michael Millsaps of Epworth, Georgia. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jesse Millsaps (Becky) of Jasper, Georgia and brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy Millsaps (Kristen) of Jasper, Georgia. Also surviving are three nephews, Tyler Pendley, Logan Millsaps (Alyssa), and Luke Millsaps; one niece, Lexie Millsaps; special mother-in-law, Kathy Thomason; uncle, Bobby Plush; aunt, Joann Plush; and special friends, Donnie Jarrett and Lisa Jarrett.

Jody worked for Status Remodeling for over 16 years where he designed cabinet layouts. He loved to work with his family remodeling and designing homes. He cherished his time spent with his family and friends. He also enjoyed his time outdoors fishing, camping, and hunting with his dad, brothers, and friends. Jody was always one to lend a helping hand and was also one who loved to laugh and joke with family and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jody were held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Max Curtis and Rev. Ron Branham officiating. Music was provided by Brenda Vandiver. Interment followed in the Epworth First Baptist Church Cemetery the following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Dylan Millsaps, Brian Millsaps, Jesse Millsaps, Jeremy Millsaps, Logan Millsaps, and Tyler Pendley. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Luke Millsaps and Justin Jarrett. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, September 5, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
