Joanne Deal Poole, age 89, of Blue Ridge, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. She was born in Copperhill, TN on May 25, 1932 to the late Ira Jefferson Deal and Ida Pless Deal. She was a member of McCaysville Gospel Tabernacle. Joanne is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Marvin Joel Poole, Sr.; and numerous siblings. She is survived by her sons, Marvin J. "Joey" Poole Jr., Harold Reed Poole, Leonard Harvey Poole, and Johnny Lynn Poole; one daughter, Linda Diane Williams; and sister, June Tabone. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Chapel with Rev. Scott Baugh officiating. Interment will follow privately in the Barnes Chapel Cemetery on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
