JoAnn Newman Hyatt of Copperhill, TN, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019. She was born in Ducktown, TN to Howard and Grace Gibson Newman. She loved her family and always wanted to be surrounded by them. She was a very dear grandmother helping to raise her grandchildren. She was a member of Bethel Church and loved the Lord. She was preceded in death by her father Howard Newman, and brother Bobby Robbins. She is survived by her husband Walter Hyatt of the home, of nearly 53 years; son Keith Hyatt (Kim) of Copperhill; daughters, Robin Welch and Erica Hyatt of Copperhill; mother, Grace Newman of Copperhill; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Dee Robbins of Copperhill; granddaughter/daughter Cassie Nelson (Tommy); grandchildren, Marlaina O'Neal, Zachary Hyatt, Kaillee Cantrell, Kristen Cantrell, Kira Hyatt and Anthony Cook; great grandchildren Chloe O'Neal Hyatt, John O'Neal Hyatt, Joe Teems, Gunner Cook, Willow Hyatt, Kimber Nelson, Creed Hyatt, Jaxson Hyatt, Cash Hyatt, and Jagger Cook also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday October 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lamar O'Neal and Rev. Mark Huff officiating. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Zachary Hyatt, Tommy Nelson, Ronnie Falls, Caleb Collins, Jamison Hyatt, Rodney Hyatt, Caleb Stillwell, Matt Hyatt and Drew Morrow. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Hyatt, Ralph Hyatt, Brad Hyatt, David Hyatt, Kenny Falls, Ryan Pittman, Darren Robbins, Matthew Snyder, and Chris Robbins.
