Mrs. Joan Marie Patterson, age 74, of McCaysville, GA passed away on December 31, 2009. Born in Porter County, IN, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie Demmington Krewson. Mrs. Patterson was also preceded in death by a son William Bell. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Patterson of the home; sons, Steve Patterson of Alamo, TN, William Lee Patterson of Hope Mills, NC, Victor Allen Davis Patterson of Knoxville, TN, James Bell of Hammond, IN; daughters, Jeanette Gall of Hammond, IN, Wanda Scasny of Valparaiso, IN, Jolene White of Fort Wayne, IN, Shirley Frazier of Hammond, IN, Kimberly Pulley of Whiting, IN, Wanda McCormick of Dyersburg, TN, Sandy Patterson of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Sandy Floyd of Porter, IN; twenty eight grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday January 3, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Waters and Rev. Lloyd Deal officiating. Music was provided by Tammy Kaylor.
