Jo Ann Newton, age 67, of Copperhill, TN passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at her home. Ms. Newton was born in Fannin County, GA on May 2, 1946 to the late John James Newton and Myrtle Gertrude Davis Newton. She was a member of Old Jerusalem Church. She is survived by her fiance, Steve Davenport of Copperhill,TN; son, Jerry Gilliam, Jr. of Copperhill; daughters, Angela Gilliam of McCaysville and Vanessa Gilliam Johnson of Morganton; brother, Billy Newton of Blue Ridge; sister, Betty Dalton of Ft. Myers, FL; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Old Jerusaem Church with Rev. Gene Ware officiating.
