Mrs. Jo Ann Galloway Lents, age 73, of Epworth, GA, passed away on April 10, 2018 in Dekalb County, GA. Born in Copperhill, TN, she was the daughter of the late Joe David "J.D." and Grace Moore Galloway. She graduated Valedictorian from West Fannin High School in 1962. Jo Ann loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening in her yard and always gave her time to help others. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Ray Lents.Survivors include her children and their spouses, Jeff Lents of Atlanta, GA, Tim and Michelle Lents and Mandy and Brad Dixon all of Epworth, GA; grandchildren, Tyler Lents, Taylor Lents, River Dixon and Jade Dixon;brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Jenny Galloway, Marty and Gayle Galloway and Mickey Galloway all of Epworth, GA; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Wellham and Rev. Claude Mathis officiating. Music will be provided by River Dixon and Donnie Kendall. Interment will follow in the Epworth Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Tyler Lents, River Dixon, Monty Galloway, Russell Galloway, Stacy Galloway and Colby Galloway. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Mason Galloway, Mathan Galloway, Kody Galloway, Kolton Galloway, Trent Galloway, Will Patterson, John Scott Deal, Jake Reuse, Hunter Rice, Noah Rice and Landon Galloway.
