The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mrs. Jo Anne Helms, age 57, of Blue Ridge who passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at her home. She was born in Plant City, FL. She retired from the United States Post Office and was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Mac Helms and her father, David Lafever.She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Mark Helms of Blue Ridge, and David Scott Helms and Genia Helms of Gainesville, FL; daughter, Chyrstie Helms Bombardire of Blue Ridge; mother, Reba Lafever; and brother, David Harold Lafever of Turkey Creek, FL.Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 15, 2009 at 12:00 noon from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev.
