Mr. J.M. Morrow, age 76, of Turtletown, passed away Thursday, August 28th. Mr. Morrow was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a son of the late James Monroe and Nola Murphy Morrow. He was retired as a Foreman with the Tennessee Copper Company and was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Marty Morrow.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Morrow of the home; two sons, Barry and wife Cindi Morrow of Cleveland, TN; Victor and wife Jo Morrow of Turtletown, TN; brother, Nuel Morrow of Andrews, NC; sister, Dorothy Ballew of Ft.Worth, TX; three grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 30th at 8:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. G.W. Mathis officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Vernon church cemetery. Donations in memory of Mr. Morrow may be made to the Zion Hill Baptist Church.
