Mr. J.L. Patterson, age 85, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Mr. Patterson was born on October 29, 1925 to the late Clifton Patterson and Gailie Callihan Patterson. He worked as a crane operator for Tennessee Chemical Company and was a member of Barnes Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Bonita P. Patterson of Blue Ridge; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Donna Patterson of Huntsville, AL; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Roy Bradburn of Blue Ridge, Annette and Craig Bearden of Mableton, GA and Susan and Steve Campbell of Blue Ridge; 10 grandchildren and spouses, Scott (Lana) Bradburn, Chris (Julie) Bradburn, Jeremy (Nikki) Bradburn, Ryan Campbell, Derek (Brittany) Patterson, Justin (Kelly) Bearden, Lucas Roof, Kimberly (Timmy) Brannon, Jessica Patterson, and Allison Bearden; and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Harold Weeks officiating. Pallbearers were Scott Bradburn, Chris Bradburn, Jeremy Bradburn, Ryan Campbell, Derek Patterson, Justin Bearden, Timmy Brannon, and Lucas Roof. Honorary pallbearers were Rodney Phillips, Joe Bennett, James (Speck) Callihan, Mike Callihan, Ricky Patterson, Steve Green, Steve Huffman, James Nicholson, Randy Watkins, Wesley Huffman, Andy Huffman, Mark Clemmons, Dr. Jack Roof, Seth Cannon, Thomas Davino, and Gary Callihan.
