Jimmy Ralph Jones, age 74, of Crandall, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023 in Chattanooga. He was born in Epworth, GA on March 12, 1949 to the late James Jones and Reba Patterson Jones. He was a member of Hipps Chapel Church. Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting with hounds, the mountains, and elk and deer hunting when he lived out west.

Jimmy was a kind man who always helped others along the road of life, regardless of who you were or where you originated from. He loved his grandchildren dearly, and he frequently traveled long distances to attend recitals, track meets, events, birthdays, and camping trips to be with his family. Jimmy was a great son to his mother and father, a loving brother, and a loving father.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Christopher Matthew Jones (Marissa); grandchildren, Lauren Jones and Hannah Jones; brothers, John C. Jones, Billy "Goat" Jones, and Randall Jones; Nephew Wesley Jones, cousins and caregivers, Don and Freda Shinpaugh; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from the Hipps Chapel Church with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music will be provided by the Hipps Chapel Church choir. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Donald Shinpaugh, Donald Callihan, Jaime Cantrell, Travis Norton, and Johnny Phillips Sr. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, June 9, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinscobb.com
