Jimmy Lynn Patterson, Sr., age 58, of Mineral Bluff, GA, died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at his home. He was a native and lifelong resident of Fannin County, son of the late William Arthur Patterson and Esther Leona Danner Patterson. Mr. Patterson was a gunsmith and enjoyed collecting guns.He is survived by his wife Viola (Ware) Patterson of the home; one son, Jimmy Lynn Patterson, Jr. of Mineral Bluff; six sisters, Frankie L. Lewis and Barbara Dillard both of Blue Ridge, GA, Carolyn Ward of Cherry Log, GA, Patsy Rhodes of McCaysville, GA, Deborah Dill of Copperhill, TN, and Donna Garland of Dial, GA; two brothers, William Danny Patterson and Michael Eugene Patterson both of Blue Ridge, GA; one grandchild, Katelin Emily Patterson and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, February 22, 2009, at 2:00 PM from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Deal and Rev. Darvin Couch officiating. Interment followed at Barnes Chapel Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kyle Ballew, Frank Hampton, Bobby Rhodes, Cecil Lee, Danny Ensley, Timmy Grimes and Zachary Garland.
