Jimmy Barry "Moose" Mealer, age 57 of Ringgold, GA passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA. He was born Wednesday, January 15, 1958 in Gary, IN to the late Columbus Lawson Mealer and Lucille Rose Henson Arp. Moose was employed by Mohawk Industries as a project engineer. He was a member of Varnell Baptist Church. Moose was a graduate of West Fannin High School Class of 1976 and was a certified welder.Survivors are his wife, Sherry L. Mealer of Ringgold, GA; sons, Matthew Mealer of McCaysville, GA, Jonathan Mealer of McCaysville, GA and Kyle Parton (Rebecca) of Ringgold, GA; daughter, Mandy Tallent (Matt) of Harrison, TN; brothers, Glenn Mealer of McCaysville, GA and Gary Mealer (Jodi) of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Evelyne Housley of Mineral Bluff, GA; grandchildren, Eryn and Emily Mealer and Kerrigan and Anniston Parton also survive.Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the New Liberty Baptist Church located at New Liberty Road, Mineral Bluff, GA 30559 with the Pastor Brett Bellamy and Matthew Mealer officiating. Music will be by Gina Linder and Delores Gibbs. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Head, Ben Ingram, Gary Postell, Chuck Bailey, Pat Hutcheson and Tim Towe. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
