Mr. Jimmy Childers, age 64, of Blue Ridge, passed away on December 21, 2015 in Duluth, GA. Born in Pickens County, GA, he was the son of the late Harley and Izzie Satterfield Childers. Mr. Childers was a Truck Driver for many years. Survivors include his brother, Rev. J.T. Childers; grandchildren, Bobby and Jersey Lowery; and the Lowery family. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapelwith Rev. J.T. Childers and Rev. Jim Holsonback officiating. Interment followed in the Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Matt Lowery, Brian Gunter, Harold Pitts, Blake Dyer, David Childers, Bobby Lowery, Charles Lowery and Zachary Daniel.
