Mr. Jimmy Lee Bearden, age 73, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. He was born in McCaysville, GA on August 2, 1936 and is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Bearden. Mr. Bearden was a retired self employed carpenter. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Lisa Bearden of Jasper, GA; daughter, Barbara Whitener of Blue Ridge, GA; mother, Evelyn Bearden of Blue Ridge; brothers, Johnny Bearden of Cherry Log, GA, Bobby Bearden of Blue Ridge, GA, Gary Bearden of Blue Ridge, GA and Keith Bearden of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Shirley Garrett, Blondie Ferrell and Betty Joe Key all of Blue Ridge; five grandchildren, Becky Harkins, Kevin Whitener, Scott Bearden, Jeffrey Bearden, and Matthew Bearden; three great grandchildren, Melia Whitener, Austin Whitener and Dillon Watkins. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Macedonia Church of Christ with Minister Shannon Bearden officiating. Music was by Casey, Cody and Caleb Bearden. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Scott Bearden, Jeffrey Bearden, Kevin Whitener, Dillon Watkins, Jace Gibbs, and Caleb Bearden.
