Mr. Jerry Clint Key, age 80, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on December 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Fannin County, GA to the late Clint W. and Blanche Miller Key. Jerry was a talented carpenter for many years and enjoyed woodworking. He attended Macedonia Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, infant Melinda Ann Key; and two siblings, Danny Key and Martha Lee Geter. Survivors include his loving wife of sixty years, Betty Bearden Key of the home; son, Michael Key; granddaughter, Lyndsay Hobson and husband Scott, great grandchildren, Stefan, Max and Londyn Hobson; brother and sister-in-law, Robert William Key and wife Jeanette all of Blue Ridge, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Shannon Bearden officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Church of Christ Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Tim Key, Jace Gibbs, Elijah Gibbs, Delane Bearden, and Bobby Bearden.
