Jerry Emory Dillard, age 81, of Woodstock passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026 at his home in Woodstock, GA. Jerry was born in the Hot House Community of Cherokee County, North Carolina to the late Albert Robert and Hassie Denton Dillard. He was an army veteran who served in the Vietnam War in the late 1960s.

Jerry was a loyal and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin. A man of not many words, but many antics, Jerry was always present for his family day in and out no matter what.

Jerry was a self-employed painter for over 50 years and built homes himself. He loved to work in the yard, garden, and canned. He adored his dog, Annie. Jerry also enjoyed spending time on the boat, and cooking.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Melannie (Eric) Williams; son, Jeremy (Jenn) Dillard; grandchildren, Addison, Emory, and Reagan; twin brother, Gary (Nancy) Dillard; sister, Carrie (Roger) Young; and many special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Lil Dillard; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Gerald Dockery; sister, Annette Dillard; and niece, Amy Dillard Kitchens.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jason Murphy and Rev. Todd Young officiating. Music will be provided by the Golden Sisters. Graveside and Interment will follow in the Simonds Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Emory Dillard, Blake Young, Bruce Murphy, Neil Murphy, Lee Dillard, and Kevin Dockery. The family will visit friends at the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
