Jerry Steven "Junebug" Cook, Jr, age 51, of McCaysville, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 25, 1972, in Cleveland to Jerry Steven Cook, Sr. and Deana Stuart Cook. He loved his family and friends with all his heart. He loved Jesus. He worked as a roustabout in the natural gas fields in Wyoming and the oil fields in North Dakota. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. Jerry was loved by all who came know him and he never met a stranger. He loved his church family and attended services at both Bethany Church in Epworth and New Vision Church in Blue Ridge.

Jerry is survived by his father, Steve Cook, Sr. and mother, Deana Cook; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and David Hill; niece, Miranda Scott; nephew, James Michael Scott; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Horseshoe Bend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help defray final expenses.
