Mrs. Jennie Ruth Taylor, age 87, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Monday February 8, 2010 at the Fannin Regional Hospital. Mrs. Taylor was born in Fannin County, GA on June 8, 1922 to the late Garn Cornett and Eula Mae Pless Cornett. She enjoyed growing flowers, crafts, her grandchildren, friends, and her dolls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Taylor, and two brothers, William Cornett and Wallace (Sock) Cornett. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Walter and Sue Taylor of Blue Ridge, GA, John Tayor of Blue Ridge, GA, and James V. and Kathy Taylor of Warrenville, SC; daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Jervis Arthur of Warrenville, SC, Imogene and Ron Durden of Langley, SC, Julia and Walter Busbee of Gloverville, SC, Sandra and Bill Thigpen of Charlotte, NC, Linda and Alton Ergle of Graniteville, SC, and Katherine and Norman Cochran of Blue Ridge, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Ed Cornett of Blue Ridge, and Tip Evelee Cornett of Blue Ridge; sister-in-law, Betty Cornett of Blue Ridge; 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. A celebration of her life was conducted Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Max Curtis officiating. A eulogy was given by Ralph Thomas. Pallbearers were Junior Cornett, Hubert Stewart, Burnell Mitchell, Kenneth Thigpen, Larry Williams, and Matthew Ingle. Interment followed in Young's Chapel Cemetery.
