Jeffrey "Tal" Tarver, age 60, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on September 17, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Atlanta, GA on October 14, 1962. Tal had retired from the U.S. Forest Service as a Ranger after many years of service. Tal was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He had a loving heart and made sure everyone was always taken care of. His great sense of humor will always be remembered and was known for having an incredibly green thumb. He is preceded in death by his father, James Marion Tarver, Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Lisa Mingo Tarver of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Samantha and Jacob Callihan and Tara and Luke Whitener all of Blue Ridge, GA, grandchildren, Ryleigh Callihan and Wells Callihan; mother, Patricia Young of Marietta, GA; and one brother, James M. Tarver, Jr. of Marietta, GA; and mother-in-law, Mary George Mingo of Jasper, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
