Jeffery Dean Taylor, age 60, of Epworth, Georgia passed away on November 3, 2023. He was born on January 17, 1963 in Murphy, North Carolina to the late David Edward Taylor and Dora Baker Taylor. Jeff graduated from Murphy High School in the class of 1982, and was also a devoted fan of his beloved Murphy Highschool Bulldogs. Jeff went to work for Ingles Super Market when he was 16 as a bag boy and spent his career there, working his way up to project manager. In his off-time, he enjoyed various hobbies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jamie Taylor; daughter and son-in law, Jenna and Clark Stepp; brother, Tim Taylor; and special canine companions, Rupert and Buddy.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 3:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Music will be provided by Alice Griggs and Becky Harris. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers:David R. Workman, Billy Brackett, David Brackett, Greg Hood, Hunter Crowder, and Andy Crowder. Selected to serve as honorary pallbearers are: Joe Plemmons, Ricky Newberry, Joe O. Williams, and Jimmy Hood.
