Jeanette Head, age 82, of Morganton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at her home. She was born on September 22, 1941 in Fannin County, Georgia to the late Earl and Ethel Seabolt McDaris. Jeanette was of the Baptist faith, and a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a seamstress. Jeanette was known for having a "green thumb" and enjoyed quilting. In her spare time, she enjoyed loaferin' around, camping, and going on jeep rides. Most of all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Ward and Jo Ann Barrett; and son-in-law, Mike Dalrymple.

Jeanette is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Lloyd R. Head; daughter, Jennifer Dalrymple (Jack Queen); grandchild, Matthew Dalrymple (Sarah); great-grandchild, Cooper Dalrymple; sisters, Cora Stewart (W.C.) and EvaLee Bowers (Billy); brothers, David McDaris and Wade McDaris (Marie); and special friends, Judy McLellan, Cindy Moss, and LeAnn Scott.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Eric Davenport and Rev. Joe Long officiating. Music was provided by Natasha Davenport. Interment followed in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Matthew Dalrymple, Jason Stewart, Donald Ward, Tyler Beaver, Steve Beaver, Ryan McDaris, and Andrew McDaris. Selected to serve as honorary pallbearers were: W.C. Stewart, Phillip Ward, Billy Bowers, Roland Ward, Drew McDaris, Evan McDaris, Merle Marsee, and Ronald Ward.
