Mr. Jarrell Barr Anderson, age 87 of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Friday, January 22, 2010 in Willow Wood Nursing Center in Flowery Branch, GA. Mr. Anderson was born in Fannin County, GA on January 11, 1923 to the late Daniel Barr and Grace Wilson Anderson. He graduated from North Georgia College and The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Business degree. Mr. Anderson was a retired real estate agent. He was a member of Blue Ridge United Methodist Church, Gideon's International and past president of the Blue Ridge Kiwanis Club. Mr. Anderson served his country in the army during World War II. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Mary H. Anderson of Flowery Branch, GA; son, Daniel Harris and wife Nadine Anderson of Neptune, NJ; three granddaughters, Cristy and husband Steve Carey of Flowery Branch, GA, Heather Shelby of Cleveland, GA and Melissa and husband Chris McDaniel of Rocky Face, GA; six great grandchildren, Zachary Seabolt, Seth Carey, Ivy Shelby, Aidan Shelby, Amber McDaniel and Chelsea McDaniel also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Chapel with Dr. Ken Freshour officiating. Music was by Zachary Seabolt. Pallbearers were Brian Williamson, Bobby Ballew, Steve Bramlett, Mike Harris, Les Gulley and Derrick Bartley. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Hughes, Bob Ballew, Steve Williamson, Ralph Stanley, Bob Gaeta and Dale Dyer. Interment followed in the Anderson Family Cemetery with full military honors by the Hall County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard.
