Jane Faye Davenport, age 65 of Blue Ridge passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at her home. She was born on April 27, 1958 in Andrews, NC to the late Garland Waylon Postell and Ella Mae Higdon Postell. Jane was a loving wife, Moma and Nana. She was the best at everything she did. Jane enjoyed landscaping, gardening, and mowing. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Amanda Jane Davenport; brother, John Hardy Ledford; and sisters, Joan Frances Hughes and Linda Sue Campbell.

Survivors are her husband of forty-four years, David Davenport of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia (Charles) Fish of Epworth, GA; grandchildren, Amanda Nicole Jane Ingle (Anthony Brady Ingle), Evan Zetler Fish and Ashley Rene Fish; sisters, Judith Ann Cook of Morganton, GA and Lelia Mae Ryan of Mineral Bluff, GA and brother, Wayne Ray Postell of Crossville, TN.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Nathan Chancey officiating. Music will be by Amanda Nicole Jane Ingle, Rev. Curtis Easley and Gerald Williamson. Interment will follow in the Salem #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lucus Ryan, Jerdy Ramey, Levi Campbell, Elijah Postell, Justin Postell and Wesley Cook. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, August 15, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
