Jan Elizabeth Beavers, age 60, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, GA. She was born on March 20, 1961 in Copperhill, TN to the late William Kenneth Tarpley and Madeline Elizabeth Ross Tarpley. Jan worked at Tarpleys Store, owned by her parents in Mineral Bluff, Ga. She was baptized on September 1971, a member, played the piano and was the church clerk for over twenty-five years at New Jerusalem Baptist. Jan was a loving wife, mother and a granny not only just to her girls but to every child she met. She loved the Lord and helping others. Jan was loved by many and will be missed. Survivors are her husband of thirty-eight years, Chris Beavers of Mineral Bluff, GA; son, William Kevin Beavers of Blue Ridge, GA; granddaughters, Hope and Faith Beavers of Blue Ridge, GA; mother-in-law, Bernice Lawson of Morganton, GA; sister-in-law, Tammy Rogers of Morganton, GA; brother-in-law, Brian Beaver of Morganton, GA; uncle and aunt, Jerry Ross (Cheryl) of Dawsonville, GA; special cousins, Bob Ross (Kathy) of Mineral Bluff, GA; DeAnna "Dee" Brown of Mineral Bluff, GA, Greg Barton (Pam) of Mineral Bluff, GA; Melissa Kinard (Danny)of Charleston, SC, Brad Ross (Staci) of Social Circle, GA and Brian Ross; host of other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will conducted on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grady Ray officiating. Music will be by Rev. Grady Ray, Shannon York, Tara Queen, Ava Queen and Junior Dillinger. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brad Ross, Caleb Ross, Bart Brown, York Brown, Bob Ross and Jerry Ross. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 after 11:00 a.m. but especially from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials donations may be made to the Morganton Baptist Association, 64 Tammen Drive, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.
