James Matthew Young, age 51, of Alpharetta, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born on June 14, 1974 in Cleveland, Tennessee, he was the son of James William Young and Evelyn Mull Young.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Mamie Mull, Wayne Young, and Geraldine King; mother, Evelyn Mull Young; and niece, Caroline Gabriela Tatum.

He is survived by his wife, Kristin Reid Young; father, James William Young; brother, William Gerald Young; sisters, Elizabeth Diane Young and Angela Lynn Young; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lamar and Sonya Reid; nephews, Jeffery Drew Johnstone Jr., James Channing Johnstone, Joel Daniel Tatum Jr., and William Reid Young; nieces, Courtney Danielle Tatum and Autumn Young McClure; many other extended relatives and dear friends.

A celebration of life for James Matthew Young will be held at a later date.
