James Franklin Weygant, age 72, of Morganton, GA passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at his home. Mr. Weygant was born in Columbus, OH on June 23 1941 to the late Glenn Andrew Weygant and Dorothy Louise McKinney Weygant. He attended First Baptist Church McCaysville/Copperhill and Crossroads Baptist Church in Florida. He was a very active member and served as vice-president for the My Mountain HOA Water and Road Maintenance Association. Mr. Weygant was a United States Air Force veteran.He is survived by his wife Dena Weygant of Morganton; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Ashley Weygant of Ft Myers, FL; and three grandchildren, James Gavin Weygant, Ara Kristine Weygant, and Evan Anthony Weygant.Mr. Weygant was cremated and services will be held at a later date. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements. .
