James "Warren" Davis, age 55, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 15, 1969 in Daytona Beach, Florida to Lee L. Davis and Kathryn Louise Goethe Davis. Warren was devoted in the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lee L. Davis; and brother, Melvin Lee Davis.
Warren is survived by his mother, Kathryn Davis of Blue Ridge, Georgia; son, Dustin "Dusty" Galloway (Park) of Spencer, Iowa; grandchildren, Archer Galloway and Shana Galloway both of Spencer, Iowa; siblings, Catherine I. Davis of Mims, Florida and Ronald Davis (Chastity) of Hiwassee Dam, NC; nephews and nieces, Collin Davis, Connor Davis, Clay Davis, Jessica Grudzien, Robert Britt, David Synrex, and Amanda Synrex; many other extended relatives, and dear friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jerry Banks officiating. Special music was provided by the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Choir. Interment followed in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Davis officiating. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Collin Davis, Connor Davis, Robert Britt, Scott Johnson, Tommy Watkins, and Daniel Cruze. Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Dusty Galloway, Scott Cason, Randy Johnson, and Clay Davis. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
