Obituary

James Turner Tresca was born October 13, 1927 in Jacksonville, Florida. He passed away at his home in Blue Ridge, Georgia May 11, 2021. He owned and operated Tresca the Florist on Atlantic Boulevard in Jacksonville. He was a graduate of Landon High School Class of 1946, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and attended the University of Florida. His community activities in Jacksonville were numerous and included Past President of the Arlington Lions Club 1959-1960, Past President of the Southside Businessmens club 1967, Life membership in Sales and Marketing with 25 years of membership, Member of Duval Lodge F&AM 159 and Scottish Rite. Founding member of the Landon Alumni Association. He was a member of St. Luke's in Blue Ridge Georgia. Mr. Tresca is survived by his wife of over 45 years Ruby McBride, two daughters, Linda Tresca Hollis (Billy) and Nancy Tresca Gaulding (Rusty); two step daughters Shirley Hemphill Towkach, and Sally Hemphill Dubray (Joe); Stepson, Mark Hemphill , nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday May 15, 20215 at 1:00 p.m. St. Lukes in Blue Ridge Georgia with Rev. Victor Morgan officiating. Music will be by Eileen Kerr. Interment will be at St Luke's Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the service at St. Luke's. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
