The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces funeral services for Mr. James Hayden Millholland, age 80, of Dalton, GA who passed away on Sunday August 17th, 2008 at his residence. Born in Fannin County, GA he was the son of the late Sherman and Arvie Millholland Galloway. He was of the Baptist Faith and a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. Survivors include his wife Virginia Millholland of Dalton, GA, son, Haden Lee Millholland of Dalton, GA; daughters, Karen Pendergrass of Pendergrass, GA, Kathy Shaniver of Wauchula, FL, Beverly Robinson of Romeo, MI and Katie Abercrombie of Winchester, TN, brother, Johnny Millholland of Copperhill, TN; sister, Margie Henson of Old Fort, TN; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday August 19, at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge with Rev. David Stanley and Rev. Donald Cantrell officiating. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Todd Pack, Travis Huffman, Brian Jones, Ken Higdon, Bill Higdon and Allen Henson. Interment will follow in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens with full military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
