James Edward Lowery, age 54, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Born on September 14, 1971, in Ellijay, Georgia. James was the son of Jack Edward Lowery and Carolyn Irene Allen Lowery. He was the owner and operator of Appalachian Trash B Gone, where he built lasting relationships through his hard work. James was cherished by his family and many friends, and his kind spirit and presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

James was preceded in death by his father, Jack Lowery; son, Christopher James "C.J." Lowery; and siblings, Anthony Lowery and Angel Lowery Matthews.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Lange Lowery; mother, Carolyn Lowery; children, James Edward "Jay" Lowery Jr. and his wife, Angel; Carlie Graham, and Logan Lowery; eight plus grandchildren; siblings, Greg Lowery and his wife, Susie Lowery; Stephanie Ensley and her husband, Rev. Joey Ensley; Crystal Saunders, Chris Green, and Brandon Lowery; many extended family members, and dear friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Garry Capita officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Majestic Family Cemetery.
