James L. Anderson, age 64 of Rock Creek, WV passed away Tuesday December 1, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. James was a retired coal miner of Local 1503 for 30 years and proudly served his country in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Anderson and Irene Cantley, a son Billy Anderson, a brother Roger Dale Anderson, and granddaughter Audrey Manning.James is survived by his wife of 45 years Elizabeth Anderson, two daughters Angela and Steve McConnell of Georgia and Christina and Bee Manning of West Virginia. A sister Rosemary and Sherman Bailey of West Virginia, a brother Harold and Linda Anderson of West Virginia. James was the proud grandfather and great grandfather of Abbie and Aidree Cook, step grandsons Anthony and Cameron McConnell, Santana and Walker Manning and great grandson Brentley Manning. James will be sadly missed by a special sister and brother in law Linda and Michael Patrick, Sr. of Georgia. Graveside services were conducted on Saturday December 5, 2015 at 4:00 PM from the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. Military Rites were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
