James Russell "J.R." Hill, age 43, of Morganton, GA passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Gainesville, GA. He was born on February 27, 1980, in Trenton, MI. J.R. was a member of Liberty Hill Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, visiting waterfalls and fishing. J.R. worked for several years for Circuit World. He is preceded in death by his father, James Lloyd Hill.

J.R. is survived by his wife, Alisha Landers Hill; children, Kelsey Hill and Jonathan Hill; mother, Belinda Sue Hill; siblings, Melissa Yergeau, Lloyd Hill, Samantha Hill, and Cody Hill; a host of other relatives and friends.

J.R.'s family visited with friends at Akins-Cobb of Blue Ridge, on Saturday evening, November 11, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help defray final expenses. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.akinscobb.com.
